Erez Bahar, goodco. was born in Jerusalem,
matured in New York, lives and works from
Tel Aviv to wherever design riddles takes.
Growing up in Jerusalem, Erez joined the boy
scouts, then went to the Kibbuz, and from there
to the Israeli army, where he served for six years
of active duty ending as the Operation Officer of
Infantry Devision and later served in reserves.
Erez traveled in the far east, mostly India, where
he explored the Eastern culture and nature,
Buddhism, and Hinduism. In 1991, when the
Gulf War broke out, he left for New York.
Erez pursued his design academic education at
F.I.T, New York where he graduated with honors,
and received the Design Faculty Medal of Honor
and the Art Director’s Club award.
Erez art directed and designed for three New York
Advertising agencies with noted design works in
trade magazines and in Graphis Annual. He won
the US Silver Effi award.
After a decade in New York, Erez relocated back
to Israel and joined Leo Burnett’s TLV agency
and was a member of the leading teams to win
three Israeli Cactus Awards.
In 2004, Erez was invited by HiT Design Faculty
to teach in its Visual Communication Department,
where he became a senior lecturer and the head
of its senior project program.
In 2005, He opened Goodco., a creative strategic
design house, shifting from advertising design
and art direction to in depth brand strategy and
design projects in Israel and over Europe.
In 2011, Erez co founded EatWith.com, a market
place aims to bring the world together, one meal
at a time. EatWith pioneered the social sharing
economy in the dining industry worldwide.
Under the academic “head,” Erez is a Senior
Lecturer tenure at HiT, Design Faculty.
Under the professional “hand,” Erez is head
of goodco.ltd creative strategic design works.
